SAVOURY STUFFED CREPES
Savoury filled crêpes are a great choice for Christmas. They’re light, versatile, and you can fill them with a variety of ingredients, just as you like. Below, we’ve shared a simple and delicious recipe for savoury crêpes that you and your guests are sure to love.
What’s more, they’re a very practical option for celebrations, as they can be prepared in advance and served hot or cold depending on the filling you choose. Their presentation allows you to create eye-catching and varied dishes that easily adapt to different tastes and festive menu styles.

Prepare the batter for savoury filled crêpes:
- In a large bowl, mix the flour and eggs.
- Add the milk a little at a time, whisking well to avoid lumps.
- Stir in the olive oil and a pinch of salt. The batter should be smooth and runny. Leave the mixture to rest for 30 minutes.
Cooking the crêpes:
- Heat a non-stick frying pan over a medium heat and brush with a little oil.
- Pour a little of the batter into the pan. Spread it out to cover the whole surface.
- Cook for 1–2 minutes until the edges start to lift, then flip it over and cook for another minute. Repeat the process until all the batter is used up.
Prepare the filling:
- Heat a little oil in a frying pan and sauté the spinach until it wilts.
- Mix the shredded ham or chicken with the spinach, cream cheese, salt, pepper and nutmeg.
- Heat the mixture for a few minutes to allow the flavours to blend.
Assemble the crêpes:
- Fill each crêpe with a portion of the spinach and ham mixture.
- Fold them in half or into triangles.
- Place the crêpes in an ovenproof dish, sprinkle with grated cheese and bake in the oven at 180 °C for 10 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbling.
Serve. Serve the savoury crepes warm, accompanied by a fresh salad or a dip of your choice. These crepes are perfect as a starter or main course and are sure to become a favourite at your Christmas celebrations.
